Neighborhood

King City was originally known as Springhill for its many natural springs that flow through the countryside. King City has a quaint village shopping corridor along Keele Street, where you will find several historic buildings that are home to many shops & restaurants.   Many more amenities include hiking trails, mountain bike trails, King Heritage and Cultural Centre, King City Community Centre & the New King City Library and Seniors Centre.  The Go Train runs through the middle of King City making this neighborhood an ideal choice for commuters. Highway 400 forms the western border of this neighborhood. This commuter highway provides a convenient option for those travelling to the City of Toronto or north to Barrie and cottage country.
